Why 7 Daily Posts Is Not Enough
The old-school belief was simple: more posts = more reach. The logic was, “If I post 7 times a day, one will stick.” But in 2025, this is no longer how the game works.
Here’s why high volume alone is no longer a winning strategy:
1. The Algorithm No Longer Works in Chronological Order
Today, most platforms don’t show posts in the order they’re published. Instead, they decide what each viewer is most likely to engage with based on their behavior, not your posting frequency.
If someone hasn’t engaged with you before, your seventh post of the day is no more likely to reach them than your first—unless it’s highly relevant to them.
2. Quantity Can Kill Quality (and Reach)
When you flood the feed, you split your audience’s attention and engagement. Instead of one post racking up strong interaction, each post gets a fraction of the love—making all of them less likely to be shown widely.
3. Virality Needs Breathing Room
If you hit a post that’s performing well, the smartest move is to let it ride. Piling on multiple new posts can bury it in your own content stream, cutting short its momentum before the algorithm finishes pushing it out.
4. The Game is Relevance, Not Volume
A single hyper-relevant, value-packed post can outperform 20 filler ones. The algorithm prioritizes content that matches the viewer’s interests, not the creator’s posting speed. If your content doesn’t spark attention in the first few seconds, it won’t matter if you post 7 times or 70 times.
